(HCS)

Q - Are HCS marked to distinguish the different shim sizes.
A - No, the different size shims in each HCS kit are visually
distinguishable to most users. Two of the included sizes are not
visually distinguishable, but greatly differ in their "feel"
and "stiffness". We believe marking the shims for thickness
imposed a substantial prohibitive cost
that we wouldn't pay for as a customer.
Q - Can HCS be used to reload ammo for semi-autos.
A - Yes. Personally we've used them to reload for several
M1-Garands and several Springfield M1-As with great success. We do
however recommend that the user "prove" the loads before
Match shooting. Until the optimal case sizing configuration is
determined, under sized cases may cause jams.
Q - If a HCS kits consist of only 15 shims how can you index your
dies to +0.002", +0.004 thru +0.500" in 0.001"
increments?
A - HCS kits are designed with specific quantity and thickness
shims to be used alone or together in a stack configuration to achieve
one of the 498 desired thicknesses.
